As the Lead Artist on the Hyundai Motors: Mr. Brilliant project, I was responsible for guiding a team of motion designers through what was arguably the most complex and ambitious project of my career. Carried out over the course of six months while I was at Postvisual, this project brought together a remarkable team of designers, animators, coders and directors in a collaborative effort to create a large-scale interactive campaign for Hyundai Motors at the iconic Times Square in New York City.

At the core of the experience was Mr. Brilliant, a dynamic character who interacted in real time across four massive synced LED billboards. These displays didn’t just show content, they brought it to life in three dimensions. Passersby could connect to free WiFi and either send messages to loved ones or take pictures that were then integrated into the billboard display, creating a deeply personal and participatory experience.

The campaign evolved with time and space. The lighting of the environment changed throughout the day and season, and special themed content was developed for key moments like Halloween and Christmas. The sheer scale, technical depth and creative ambition of this project make it one of the proudest highlights of my career.
