4 NATIONS FACE-OFF 2025

For The 4 Nations Face-Off Promo, an international ice hockey tournament featuring Canada, USA, Finland, and Sweden, I was responsible for the overall art direction, design, and motion of the graphics package developed for Sportsnet. The goal was to capture the intensity, speed, and spirit of international competition while delivering a unified visual experience.

Each nation was represented through its own distinct color, reflecting its identity and presence throughout the tournament. These colors moved dynamically across the screen—interacting, colliding, and building momentum—to mirror the fast-paced energy of the sport. As the sequence evolved, the separate elements came together in a cohesive visual climax, forming the 4 Nations Face-Off logo to symbolize unity through competition.

To enhance the sense of motion and surface realism, I incorporated semi-transparent materials with layered textures and lighting. These elements added a sharp, energetic aesthetic that subtly referenced ice and speed, bringing a visceral, tactile quality to the design.

The final package delivered a bold, kinetic visual narrative that resonated with viewers and was very well received by the network. I'm proud of how it came together and how effectively it captured the tone of the event.
